check out this powerful documentary about that jail that they had (well it's still there) in the city of Tarafal in Cabo Verde. only about two weeks ago my mom was telling us the story how my uncle was detained there in the seventies and than was sent to Angola. he was one of the lucky one's who made it out alive but the whole experienced really hit home... my grandparents got really sick from it. what they did to him and my family was really crazy... had my moms in tears just by talking about it... those fuckers.
